• SmartTOUCH™ is a flexible, highly secure and stylish contactless smart card reader ideal for customers that require a customizable reader for new or existing installations. Designed for a wide variety of applications from entry level access control to secure ID management, its unique capabilities, such as reading any MIFARE® sector and/or DESFire® application data file, meet all installation requirements.
• SmartTOUCH not only verifies the vaildity of a MIFARE or DESFire card, it also verifies that the person who presents the card is its rightful owner. A scan of the fingerprint of the cardholder is stored on the secure part of the card. When there is a match between the finger scanned and the template stored on the card, the card data is transmitted. With the addition of PIN, the SmartTOUCH offers a third level of security.
• For decentralized processing and verification, biometric data is kept outside a database and stored in an encrypted format on the card. Thus, the verification takes place in a totally independent system, allowing for fast and secure verification and eliminating privacy concerns.
• Every SmartTOUCH can be used as an enrollment station. For programming, every order of SmartTOUCH is accompanied by a unique enroll-and-erase card. SmartTOUCH readers offer one of the broadest ranges of card compatibility in the industry and can be configured as a specific solution for each project. The SmartTOUCH reader is available with or without PIN pad, adding an extra layer of protection for higher security installations.
